Baby rape suspect killed in public –
A man suspected of committing a crime against a one-year-old baby was hanged and then burned by residents of Jutaí (AM), a town 934 kilometers from Manaus.

The case occurred last Thursday (19), a day after the child rape and murder suspect was arrested. He was detained after spontaneously coming to the police station and confessing to his crime.
According to information from the Metrópoles website, the arrest occurred after the child’s mother reported her daughter’s disappearance, which also occurred this week, while she was sleeping on a floating boat in the port of Jutaí.
During the interrogation of the prisoner, the public, angry about what happened to the baby, surrounded and stormed the police station building.
The Civil Police, Military Police and the City Civil Guard (GCM) were unable to control the townspeople, so they took the suspect out of the scene and beat him to death. His body was then burned.
