Between May 31 and August 5 this year, a robbery worth more than two million dollars took place at a maquiladora in the city, and two employees of the establishment have been arrested and formally charged in connection with the incident, the North Zone District Prosecutor’s Office reported.
During that period, within a company called Scientific Atlanta México, 402 modular circuits for data processing machines and 602 flash memory cards were stolen, the combined value of which was two million 211 thousand 957.70 dollars.
Víctor Manuel GF and Ismael QM are accused of committing the crime of aggravated robbery committed against this electronic components company, located at the intersection of Intermex and De Las Torres streets, after they were detained with an arrest warrant.
The Ministry of Public Prosecutor’s Office’s Special Investigation Unit for Robbery Crimes presented evidence before the Control Judge to support his request, and then requested preventive measures in the form of preventive detention, which was accepted by the control judge.
