With tourism booming in the state, the Bahia government expects the 2025 Carnival to be the biggest ever. This year, around three million visitors came to the state during the period, contributing R$6.6 billion to the local economy – a record high for the period.

According to the Chief of Staff of Setur-BA, Giulliana Brito, who represented Secretary Maurício Bacelar at the VI Salvador Carnival Forum which ended this Thursday (19), after two days of activities at the Wish Hotel in Bahia, the results of the work were very good and were measured through research carried out during the Carnival.

“The festival mobilizes all productive sectors throughout the state, and tourism benefits directly. As soon as it ends, we check the tourists’ reviews and continue planning next year’s actions. We bring together other state bodies that carry out activities during the celebration, acting comprehensively”, explains Giulliana.
