Car fire in an underground garage in an apartment block in Pruszcz Gdański (Pomeranian Voivodeship). About 100 people were evacuated from the building due to the smoke, the fire department reported.
Capt. Andrzej Piechowski from the provincial headquarters of the State Fire Service in Gdansk informed that on Thursday around 19, the services received a report of a fire in a car parked in an underground entrance of a three-story block. on Peace Defenders Street in Pruszcz Gdański.
From the building before the services arrive about 50 people were evacuated, another 50 were evacuated by firefighters.
The fire was extinguished, but there was smoke in the hall.
There is currently no information on casualties – added Captain Piechowski.
In the building one car was completely burnt. It is possible that other cars parked in the hall were also destroyed.
The cause of the fire will be investigated by the police and the fire department.
