A tree fell on the road early in the evening as a man and two children were crossing, “in circumstances to be ascertained and in bad weather”.
A direct link to the bad weather that is shaking the country has not yet been established. A falling tree in northern Paris (19th arrondissement) hit by heavy rain on Thursday, October 17, left one dead and two injured, according to a police source. It fell onto the roadway as a man and two children passed, “in circumstances to be determined and in the context of the bad weather,” this source said.

The man was seriously injured before he died. The two children were admitted as a matter of relative urgency, the police source further specified. An emergency medico-psychological team was on the scene.
