Mexico City.- After the physical attack he suffered this Friday in a private room at Terminal 2 of Mexico City International Airport (AICM), Gerardo Fernández Noroña, president of the Senate, warned that he could not go unpunished and linked it to the approval of judicial reform. .
“Very strict sanctions must be imposed on these arrogant and haughty people, because with their money they get sentences that benefit them, they really want the democratization of the judiciary and the great transformation that has begun with judicial reform,” he said.
The legislator assured that the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) had identified his attacker and the video. “The person who attacked me is a lawyer for an international company that is litigating against the Mexican State, issues such as tax payments,” he said.
He reported that the person was angry and not just verbally attacking him.
“He dared to physically attack me at least three times and that fact cannot be tolerated,” she accused. Fernández Noroña stated that she was aware of her figure and representation, which is why she “decided to act decisively”. “We obey Mexican society, which has a privileged sector that is very irritated and they are not going to scare us with such provocations,” she said.
