River clean-up work continues north of the city

The Municipal Public Services Directorate (SPM) of Chihuahua is carrying out permanent cleaning operations in the river channels in the north of the city, as well as in the different sections of the tributary channels. Using heavy equipment, the officers of the agency are in charge of removing the accumulated garbage, in addition to removing the garbage that residents have stored in these spaces, to avoid blockages that could end up causing floods. Such is the case of the space known as “Puente de Piedra”, located on La Cantera Avenue, another that runs along Izalco Avenue (in the Saucito neighborhood), as well as Magallanes, which has been intervening since last week. Esro, with the aim of maintaining a good urban image and avoiding the accumulation of garbage that causes blockages of the natural channels of the river and that in the rainy season can cause floods. The city government asks citizens in general not to throw garbage or debris into the river channels, as well as to report any incident on the “Marca el Cambio” application or at the Citizen Response Center at 072.
