With the support announced by PV and MDB, respectively through councilors Andre Fraga and Davi Ríos, 37 councilors have now approved the re-election of Carlos Muniz (PSDB) as president of the City Council of Salvador. Members of the União Brasil, PP, PL, PDT, DC, PRD, PSDB, Podemos and Cidadania benches have already cast their votes for Muniz to remain head of the Salvadoran legislature.
In recent days, councilors Randerson Leal and Joao Claudio of Podemos joined Felipe Santana of PSD, who confirmed his support during a meeting of the party’s municipal directorate, chaired by councilor Edvaldo Brito.

At meetings, Munitz thanked for the support and said that he was devoting himself even more to the work for the population and the city. “Every day we listen to all councilors so that we can manage the City Council, which is not easy. But rest assured that we succeed with great desire to do the best for the people of El Salvador,” he said.
It is expected that the dialogue with all banks will be expanded in the coming days.
