Liam Payne, former member of One Direction, died after falling from the 3rd floor of an Argentinian hotel

SAO PAULO, SP (UOL/FOLHAPRESS) – Liam Payne, former member of One Direction, died this Wednesday (16), aged 31. He was found dead in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The information was reported by the local press.

He fell from the third floor of the Casa Sur Hotel, in the Palermo district of the Argentine capital. Authorities confirmed the death to La Nación newspaper.

Earlier, police received reports of an aggressive man who may have been under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the scene. According to Clarín, he is suspected to be Liam Payne.

Liam James Payne was born on August 29, 1993 in Wolverhampton, United Kingdom. His rise in the music industry came in 2010, after his participation in the talent show, The X Factor.

He has performed alone several times and intends to perform as a solo singer. However, singer and judge Nicole Scherzinger suggested that he, Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik form a band to kick off One Direction.

He was a part of One Direction until the group broke up in 2016. In 2019, he released his only solo album, ‘LP1’.
