Two micro-nurseries were closed due to suspected abuse in the Marne

“The department of the Marne carried out on Wednesday an administrative closure for a period of three months” of these two nurseries located in Villers-aux-Noeuds, a few kilometers from Reims, the department wrote in a press release, confirming the information of “The Union”.

This decision follows an inspection conducted on October 2 by the Department’s Office of Child Protection of Mothers (PMI), which resulted in reports suggesting “probable acts of abuse by staff as well as practices aimed at concealing an excessive number of children under PMI exam time.

The department also stated that it had “sent a letter of report to the public prosecutor’s office in Reims under Article 40 (of the criminal procedure code).” Since he is “not sure that crimes other than administrative can be noticed”, Reims prosecutor Francois Schneider indicated that “the file will be studied more thoroughly” by the prosecution before deciding whether to open an investigation.
