Tom Brady is the new minority shareholder in the Las Vegas Raiders

Tom Bradythe greatest player in the history of NFLacquired a 5% stake in the Las Vegas Raiders. The negotiations, which lasted several weeks, depended solely on the organization’s approval.

According to journalist and commentator Ian Rapoport, the purchase was completed this Tuesday (15).

Thus, the legend of American football will have a 5% share in the team, and another 5% will be acquired by his business partner Tom Wagner. Hence a deal involving 10% of the Raiders.

According to Forbes, the total value of the American franchise is estimated at 6.7 billion US dollars.

As a passive investor in the franchise, the former athlete will have no operational control or authority over the team in matters related to business or American football.

Seven-time champion of Super BowlTom Brady retires in February 2023 with six titles with the New England Patriots and one with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, in addition to still holding several league records.

The Raiders, on the other hand, recently moved to Las Vegas. However, the franchise is traditional and has already won the NFL three times: in 1976, 1980 and 1983.
