They report the kidnapping of Vicente Verastegui, a member of the Congress of Tamaulipas

The Tamaulipas State Attorney General’s Office and the Tamaulipas Security Spokesperson confirmed the kidnapping of local MP Vicente Verastegui Ostos, brother of former PAN gubernatorial candidate, Cesar Verastegui “El Truco”.

The prosecutor’s office said that based on the report of the imprisonment of local deputy Vicente Verastegui Ostos near the municipalities of Xicoténcatl and El Mante, an investigation file was opened and a search operation was carried out.

For this reason, an interdepartmental team was formed with elements of the State Guard, the State Search Commission and the General Prosecutor’s Office; carrying out the necessary investigations and procedural actions to clarify the facts and establish the deputy.

In a statement, he indicated that as soon as there is more information and the procedural moment allows it, it will be announced.

For his part, the security spokesperson said the following:

“The man incarcerated in Xicoténcatl’s Emiliano Zapata Ejido has been confirmed as local deputy Vicente Javier Verástegui Ostos.”
