Re-elected Sao Paulo Mayor Ricardo Nunes (MDB) speaks to supporters after won the second round of the 2024 election this Sunday (27). He thanked the population of the capital city of São Paulo, his wife and his main political godfather, Governor Tarcisio de Freitas (Republicans).

The now re-elected mayor began his speech by thanking the people of the city of São Paulo for their trust and support. He thanked his family and praised his wife, Regina Nunes, who he said was attacked a lot during the campaign.
He also thanked Governor Tarcisio de Freitas, whom he called “the greatest leader,” and said that “without him, victory would not have been possible.”
“I am sure that the next four years will be the best four years in the history of the city of Sao Paulo,” he said.

Ricardo Núñez (MDB) was re-elected mayor of São Paulo with 89.78% of the votes counted at 6:43 p.m. and 3,052,556 votes, equivalent to 59.56% of the total, according to the Supreme Electoral Court (TSE ). Colonel Mello Araujo (PL) will be the deputy mayor.
