The alleged rape case involving the name of Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappe has a new development. French striker Marie-Alix Canou-Bernard’s lawyer said the hotel’s security cameras could prove the player’s innocence.
According to the striker’s defense, Mbappe has “nothing to blame”. The attacker has not yet presented himself to the authorities as it is not yet known if the complaint is in his name.
“He has not yet come out as we do not yet know if the complaint is against him. If this really happens, we are obviously preparing a defamation charge as he has nothing to accuse,” said Mbappe’s lawyer.
This Tuesday (15/10) Swedish prosecutors opened an investigation into an alleged rape incident in Stockholm. However, Mbappe’s name is not mentioned in the complaint.
“Because there are 10,000 cameras in the hotel, it’s better. Thanks to the cameras and the hotel corridors, we can know exactly what happened in other recent stories about athletes abroad,” the player’s defense added.
