A critical debate between the last two remaining candidates in the replacement race Rishi Sunak as the next Tory leader can be watched live today.
Kemi Badenoch and Robert Jerrick will be questioned by members of the Conservative Party in a two-hour live broadcast on GB News.
Who comes out of the pair first will be decided by a coin toss. Each will then be given 45 minutes to outline why they should be the next Tory leader.
This will be a five-minute opening, followed by 40 minutes of touch-and-go questions from the floor, chaired by GB News political editor Christopher Hope.
Following the debate, a special edition of Patrick Christys Tonight will air from 9:00 p.m. GB News political correspondents, studio guests and members of both candidates’ campaigns will analyze who won.
GB News editorial director and former Sunday Express editor Michael Booker said: “We are approaching decision time for Conservative Party members after MPs have had their say.
“GB News is home to great debate and we are delighted that the two contenders will be making their case to members live on the channel, as well as to those watching and listening across the UK.
“This will certainly be the pivotal moment in the leadership race.”
Voting remains open to Conservative Party members until October 31, and the result will be announced on November 2.
