Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyj began his trip to the US with a visit to an ammunition factory in Pennsylvania. He thanked workers at the Scranton Army Ammunition Plant for their support, the British Telegraph reported. “In places like this you can really feel that the democratic world can win,” Zelensky said in his post on X.
According to the Telegraph, Zelensky will present his “winning strategy” to end the two-and-a-half-year war with Russia in New York and Washington. Meetings are planned with President Joe Biden and presidential candidate Kamala Harris and Donald Trump, in particular, with Zelensky hoping to win Biden over the US and UK, which are currently refusing to give up long-range weapons over fears of escalation.
The coming weeks are very important
Zelensky stressed the importance of the coming weeks, according to the Telegraph. “Now it will be decided what legacy the current generation of leaders will leave behind.”
