Zelensky: Russia has lost credibility in the world
– Today we celebrate the 33rd Independence Day of Ukraine. And what the enemy brought to our land has now returned home. Whoever wants to turn our land into a buffer zone should consider whether his country should become a buffer federation. This is the answer to independence – Zelensky said.
– Our enemy will know what Ukrainian-style retaliation is. Dignified, symmetrical, long-range retaliation. He will know that all places in the Russian Federation that are a source of threat to the life of our state and our nation will sooner or later receive a Ukrainian response.– the president said, referring to the Ukrainian military operation in the Kursk Oblast of Russia.
Zelensky doesn’t mince words. “Russia is a country that loots stores”
According to Zelensky, Ukraine is once again surprising the world and Russia is once again using well-known actions and rhetoric from the past. The president noted that this is the picture that emerges from world media reports on the situation in Kursk Oblast. – (We see there) how Russia treats its citizens, whom it calls “the people”. How does Russia “not abandon its own people?” How its soldiers loot stores. This is what Putin’s Russia looks like to the world. – he emphasized.
Zelensky stressed the need for the Ukrainian Orthodox Church to gain independence. – There is economic and energy independence, but (there is also) spiritual independence of the Ukrainian nation. Today, Ukrainian Orthodoxy is taking a step towards liberation from the demons of Moscow. – he announced.
The President thanked all the people who help the Ukrainian army and state, as well as all those who work every day for independence. He said he was grateful to Ukraine and Ukrainians for the 913 days of war and for “proving that independence is everyone’s business and has many dimensions.”
On Friday, the eve of Independence Day, Zelensky held a telephone conversation with US President Joe Biden. – On behalf of the Ukrainian people, I express my gratitude to you personally, to your administration, to Congress, and to the entire American people for the support that the United States has provided to our country since the first days of the war. This support helps us survive and maintain our state. – Zelensky said, turning to the US leader.
