The revenues of the “Pismo” Foundation from statutory activities in 2023 increased from PLN 2.38 to 3.53 million, and from entrepreneurial activities (based on advertising and sponsorship services) – from PLN 319 to 410.1 thousand. zloty. Total revenues in these areas reached PLN 3.94 million, following a year-on-year increase of 45.9%.
In the legal field increased the amount of donations received from companies and institutions – from PLN 782.4 thousand. up to PLN 1.39 million. And donations from individuals decreased from PLN 358.8 thousand to PLN 261 thousand. zloty. Last year, the Foundation did not obtain any subsidies.
However, its revenues come from statutory remunerated activities, i.e. mainly of the monthly magazine “Pismo. Opinion Magazine” increased from PLN 1.24 to 1.88 million. Revenues from the sale of its paper version increased from PLN 1.01 to PLN 1.05 million, and from the digital version – from PLN 231.6 thousand to PLN 312.4 thousand zloty. Additionally, PLN 386.4 thousand were earned from the sale and distribution of audio editions and series and PLN 124.2 thousand of income classified as other.

In turn, the costs of statutory and economic activities of the “Pismo” Foundation amounted to PLN 3.64 million in 2023, growing by 33.3% year-on-year, which is much lower than the revenues. In the statutory area, they increased from PLN 2.61 to PLN 3.52 million, and in the economic area – from PLN 116.8 thousand to PLN 126.8 thousand. zloty.
Last year the Foundation employed: 13 full-time stafftwo more than last year. It also suffered PLN 276.1 thousand in general management costs last year, compared to PLN 264.5 thousand PLN a year earlier.
At the operational level, the profitability of the “Pismo” Foundation increased from PLN 293.9 thousand. PLN loss to PLN 25.8 thousand PLN PLN profit, and in gross and net terms – from PLN 462.1 thousand. PLN loss to PLN 58.2 thousand PLN PLN profit. As a result, its equity increased from PLN 526.6 thousand to PLN 584.8 thousand zloty.
