He was dismissed from his post – like the previous head of TAI, Michał Adamczyk, and another deputy director, Samuel Pereira – in the second half of December last year, immediately after the appointment of new authorities at Telewizja Polska (as a result of a decision by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage).
All three were dismissed for disciplinary reasons in January 2024, and Telewizja Polska sued them for PLN 1.33 million as compensation for causing a 9-day break in broadcasting of TVP Info and TVP3 by staying at the Television Information Agency headquarters in Plac Powstańców Warsaw.

I got them in addition to the collection. The film about the illegal takeover of the media, the prosecutor’s office and state institutions in general is practically ready, he told the Wirtualnemedia.pl portal in July.

“Wiadomości” disappeared from the airwaves of Polish television in the second half of December last year, when the new management took over. They were replaced by the “7:30 pm program”.
In recent months, the broadcast of “Wiadomości” on TVP has been hosted by Marta Kielczyk, Edyta Lewandowska, Danuta Holecka and Anna Bogusiewicz. At the end of December, Holecka moved to TV Republika, where she is the main presenter of the evening news program “Dzisiaj”, while Bogusiewicz will host the new version of the news and cultural program “Taki jest poznać” on TV Pulso.
From the beginning of 2016 until September last year, “Wiadomości” was also run by Michał Adamczyk. He disappeared from the airwaves after Onet revealed that more than two decades ago he was accused by the prosecutor’s office of beating and threatening his lover. At the end of December last year, Adamczyk was appointed by the National Council of Media as president of Telewizja Polska, but in practice he does not hold this position (the prosecutor’s office is currently investigating the circumstances under which he tried to open a bank account in the name of the broadcaster).
