A woman was arrested this Saturday morning (21), at the Rio de Janeiro Bus Terminal, located in the Central Area of the Fluminense Capital, for drug trafficking. According to the Military Police, the arrest occurred during a routine operation, as officers were approaching the dormitory area.
According to PM, the suspect showed nervousness when she saw the police presence and tried to leave the boarding lane. This behavior attracted the attention of officers who immediately conducted a search. Inside the woman’s suitcase, 16 packages of Skank, a type of concentrated marijuana, totaling 5 kg of narcotics, were found, as well as a mobile phone.
The woman, a member of the Mandela community, in Benfica, North Zone of Rio, confessed to police that she would receive a thousand reais to transport the drugs to Minas Gerais. After her arrest, she was taken to the Praça da República Police Station, where the case was registered and will continue to be investigated.
