Newag, a manufacturer of impulse vehicles, has sued SPS and three members of Dragon Sector, a group of IT experts specializing in cybersecurity. It accuses them of violating copyrights for vehicle control software and unfair competition. One of Newag’s representatives, legal counsel Dr. Michał Markiewicz of the law firm Markiewicz Sroczyński Mioduszewski, maintained the allegations at the hearing on Wednesday. He also stressed that the manufacturer did not interfere with the train’s code.
However, lawyer Zbigniew Krüger of the law firm Krügerlegal, who represents the defendants, maintained that his clients had acted within the law.
