Brazil has a 100% record in the men’s Futsal World Cup and has a knockout round ahead in Uzbekistan. This Tuesday (24), starting at 09:30, Brasília, Amarelinha faces Costa Rica in the round of 16 with an eye on the sixth championship. The opponent, in fact, qualified as one of the best third-placed teams in the group stage.
In the group commitment, the Brazilian team had no trouble getting the three points. There were three wins in three games, always with a defeat. They debuted with a score of 10-0 against Cuba, then 8-1 against Croatia and, in the last round, 9-1 against Thailand. There were 27 goals scored – the best attack of the tournament – and only two conceded so far.
If they qualify from Costa Rica, Brazil already have a date to go back to court. The ball rolls on Sunday (29), also at 09:30, against Iran or Morocco, in the quarter-finals of the men’s Futsal World Cup. The top scorer of the competition is from Amarelinha: winger Marcel, who scored eight goals.
