As of October 1, it is once again permitted to cut or completely remove hedges, shrubs and deciduous or coniferous trees. Section 39 of the Federal Nature Conservation Act prohibits such radical reductions between March 1 and September 30. This is intended to protect breeding birds and their nests.
Important: The so-called shape cutting and year-round care are allowed. But of course you should also pay attention to any nests that may be present and protect them. And: Never mix when it’s cold! Branches can break and the structure of the shrub or tree may be damaged.
