There is another request to waive the immunity of Michał Dworczyk, former chief of staff of Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki. This concerns the email scandal. This time, the prosecutor’s office has sent it to the European Parliament because a PiS politician has taken office as an MEP.
Request to the European Parliament concerning the immunity of Michał Dworczyk Justice Minister Adam Bodnar announced this as early as mid-July.
This is a conclusion related to the manipulation of his e-mail box. This request has already been submitted to the Sejm of the Republic of Poland but due to the fact that the MEP has since been elected to the European Parliament the matter will now have to be dealt with by the Committee on the Rules of Procedure of the European Parliament and later by the European Parliament. – he said.
The first motion to consent to the criminal liability of deputy Michał Dworczyk was submitted to the Sejm on June 7. It was not considered by the house because on June 9 Dworczyk was elected to the European Parliament.
