“Today I had a parliamentary inspection at the General Directorate of State Forestry in Warsaw. A few days ago, the conference room on the second floor of the building was named after Professor Jan Szyszko, and now… it is no longer called that,” PiS MP Paweł Sałek wrote on Facebook. The politician said he had not received an answer about who personally made such a decision.
He died in 2019. Prof. Jan Szyszko, former Minister of the Environment in Beata Szydło’s government, is commemorated, among others, in the State Forestry Directorate, where one of the conference rooms is named after him. However, it appears that the current government is eliminating all traces of its predecessors.
Inspection by MP Sałek
Today I had a parliamentary inspection at the General Directorate of State Forests in Warsaw. A few days ago, the conference room on the second floor of the building was named after Professor Jan Szyszko, and now… it is no longer called that.
– wrote MP Paweł Sałek on Facebook.
Below is an old and current photo of the entrance to this room. ❓I asked the deputy directors of DGLP who personally made such a decision and got no answer. 🤔
– he added, posting photos.
If Minister Hennig-Kloska or any of her deputies had as much knowledge about the sphere of state functioning entrusted to them as the late Prof. Jan Szyszko, perhaps Poland’s affairs would be completely different today.
