What do you need to know about reporting? [PORADNIK DGP]

There are just over two weeks left until most of the provisions of the Law of 14 June 2024 on the protection of whistleblowers (Official Gazette, item 928; hereinafter: UOS) come into force. From 25 September, the regulations on internal reporting, whistleblower protection rules and internal procedures of legal entities (including companies, associations, foundations, but also public companies and public entities other than government bodies) will apply. These entities must, among other things: establish an internal reporting procedure, designating a person or department responsible for receiving reports. They are also obliged to guarantee the confidentiality of whistleblowers and protect them against retaliation. Today we publish the first part of the guide, in which we answer important questions on this topic. We also advise on how to prepare for the implementation of new regulations.
