Google’s “Made by Google” hardware event this year is set to be packed. Perhaps even more packed than Samsung’s Unpacked event last month (no pun intended). That’s because Google is set to announce not two, but four standalone Pixel smartphones, as well as its next-generation Pixel smartwatch and the TWS Pixel Buds Pro 2.
The event will start on August 14 at 5:00 PM CET.
The four Pixel smartphones in question are the compact, vanilla Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold. The Pixel 9 Pro XL is probably one of the most interesting devices of the bunch, considering Google has stuck to a dual-flagship formula for several years now, so a top-of-the-line Pixel smartphone will be an interesting event.
The Pixel 9 Pro Fold is also a highly anticipated foldable phone, with many expecting it to fix the flaws of its predecessor, which was received with mixed feelings, to say the least.
The Pixel Watch 3 will likely arrive with an improved display and UWB support, making it a first for the Android smartwatch segment. However, the rumors so far do not promise any improvements in performance or battery life.
We hope Google has managed to avoid any surprises given the number of leaks across all devices.
