– Poczta Polska must be debureaucratized. The Voluntary Redundancy Plan for administration employees announced today is extremely generousand its aim is to provide adequate financial security to people who leave. Employees who decide to use it will receive the equivalent of 12 salaries and will be able to start a new job the next day, Sebastian Mikosz said during the conference.

The program was expected to cover 9,300 employees who will be designated by the board of directors. Initially, the “proposals” will be aimed at people who do not perform operational functions. “It will take a few weeks to start implementing this,” Mikosz said.

It was indicated that this cost approximately PLN 600 million.

Termination of the Collective Bargaining Agreement

Trade unionists of Poczta Polska reported this morning that the company’s board of directors has terminated the Company’s Collective Labor Agreement with 6 months’ notice, which will expire on February 28, 2025.

According to the company’s president, the current document no longer reflects the situation on the labor market and is the reason for a very poor assessment of Poczta Polska as an employer.

Changes in the management of Poczta Polska

Robert Czyż and Magdalena Lebiedź, social representatives elected by employees, were recently removed from the Supervisory Board.

The first time such a situation occurred was when workers’ representatives were removed from the Supervisory Board. We were elected by our employees so that we could represent their interests. At the moment, employees have no representation, Robert Czyż told us.

Why was this decision taken? As the company’s press service informed us, the dismissal of the aforementioned members of the Supervisory Board was dictated by the failure to grant a discharge for the exercise of their functions in 2023. This was an inadequate supervision of the company’s activities, which was confirmed by a “significant deterioration in the financial situation”.

Meanwhile, on 12 August, within the framework of the qualification procedure, a decision was made to appoint Wiesław Strąk to the position of Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of Poczta Polska SA for the 5th joint term as responsible for finance, to appoint Sławomir Żurawski to the position of Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of Poczta Polska SA for the 5th joint term for operations and logistics, and to appoint Piotr Szajczyk to the position of Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of Poczta Polska SA for the 5th joint term for office, responsible for sales, appointment of Joanna Drozd as Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of Poczta Polska SA for the 5th joint term, responsible for human resources.

At the same time, by decision of the Supervisory Board of Poczta Polska Wojciech Krysztofik has been dismissed as vice-president and Andrzej Bodziony, vice-president, has been suspended from his duties– he stated in the announcement.
