It’s time to take a look at the new vivo V40 Pro that landed in our office for review. The V40 Pro is currently available exclusively in India, but is expected to launch in other markets in the coming weeks.
It’s a sleek-looking device with visible curves on both the front and back. Our review unit is in Moonlight White, which has a marble-like finish. The retail box includes an 80W charger, a USB-C cable, a SIM removal tool, and a clear silicone case.
Up front is a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display that looks very similar to the one on last year’s V30 Pro. It has the exact same 1260 x 2800 resolution and refreshes at 120Hz, but it’s noticeably brighter, reaching a maximum peak brightness of 4,500 nits.
The back has a redesigned camera module with two oval elements. The top half houses a 50-megapixel main camera (IMX921) with OIS alongside a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. The bottom half has a 50-megapixel telephoto camera (IMX816) with 2x optical zoom and an Aura Light LED flash.
The V40 Pro has a great feel in the hand with a good amount of weight that’s evenly distributed. Rounding out the specs are a 5500mAh battery with 80W wired fast charging, a powerful Dimensity 9200+ chipset, and an IP69K rating. That’s all we’ve got for now, we’ll bring you our usual set of findings and verdict in the full, in-depth review.
