In the early hours of Sunday (29), the home of Cladian Mayor Arico Matzenbacher (PP) came under fire. She is running for re-election to the municipality gardenM Mato Grosso do Sul235 kilometers from Campo Grande. After the incident, Klydian stated that she was sleeping and woke up around 1 a.m. to the sound of gunshots.
In a statement to Morena TV, the city mayor said: “Now I am fine. It was a great fear. I hope the suspects will be found. It was a great panic, and we need security.” Police were called and found bullet holes on the property.One of them was in the window of the room where the politician and her husband were sleeping.
The attack was recorded on a surveillance camera (see below), where two people on a motorbike can be seen during the early hours of the morning. In front of the mayor’s house, the duo slows down, while the passenger fires several shots and flees.
As you can see in the photos, there were no pedestrians or other vehicles on the street at the time. No information is yet available about the perpetrators or the motive behind the crime.
According to information from Correio do Estado newspaper, teams of military police and civil police were called in to begin investigations. After analyzing the experience, it is expected that new information will be released in the coming days.
