A 52-year-old man was the victim of a kidnapping after arranging a romantic date. He fell into what was called a “love scam”, and was in the hands of the bandits for about 40 hours and was released on the morning of this Sunday, the 22nd. The case occurred in the eastern zone of São Paulo.

In his statement to the Civil Police, the victim reported that he was forced to take out a bank loan of R$80,000. He reported that he met the woman through a dating app and arranged to meet on Friday night, the 20th.

Upon arrival at the meeting, in the eastern zone of São Paulo, the man was kidnapped along with the taxi driver. The criminals tied the victim’s hands and feet and used facial recognition to grant the loan.
