New Delhi:
Before the release of the long-awaited Netflix movie Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba, the makers will host a special screening in Mumbai on Thursday evening. The film’s lead actors Vikrant Massey, Taapsee Pannu, Sunny Kaushal and Jimmy Shergill arrived at the event in style. Sunny’s elder brother Vicky Kaushal grabbed the limelight of the event by posing with his parents Sham Kaushal, Veena Kaushal and Sunny on the red carpet. The Kaushal brothers became friends in black. They posed for the shutterbugs. Leading lady Taapsee Pannu also chose black for the night. Taapsee upped the style quotient with a red bow-tie belt in her black dress. She posed with her BFF and co-writer of the film Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba Kanika Dhillon on the red carpet. Jimmy Shergill and Sunny Kaushal are new entrants in the sequel of 2021 film Haseen Dilruba. See pictures from the show:
Other attendees included Sharad Kelkar, director Anand L Rai, Dia Mirza. Taapsee gave the paparazzi a picture perfect moment as she recreated the signature pose of her new upcoming film Khel Khel Mein. The film hits theaters on August 15.
Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba is a sequel to Haseen’s Dilruba which premiered exclusively on the OTT platform on Netflix in July 2021. The film starred Vikrant Massey, Taapsee Pannu and Harshvardhan Rane. The film was a twisted tale of love and revenge that received mixed reactions from critics and audiences. Taapsee (Rani) and Vikrant (Rishu) will reprise their roles in the new installment.
Sharing the challenges involved in recreating the frenzy around Rani’s character, Taapsee told the media, “Apart from that, performance wise it wasn’t that challenging as after the first part I knew what the audience liked about the character and What not, well, this time I got a chance to rectify ( Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba) more than part (Haseen Dillruba). The character is darker and more intense and the stakes are high.”
