Republican vice presidential candidate JD Vance will speak at the International Federation of Firefighters convention in Boston on Thursday, according to Vance’s spokesman.
The Ohio senator will address the firefighters’ union, one of the nation’s largest, this afternoon — a little more than 24 hours after his colleague, Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Walz, spoke at the same convention. WBUR also reported on Vance’s scheduled appearance.
Rep. Rep. Carlos Giménez (R-Fla.), a former paramedic firefighter and the only firefighter elected to Congress, will introduce Vance at Thursday’s rally, said a person familiar with the plans.
