The United States is 35 days away from the presidential elections. This Tuesday (10/1), the two vice presidential candidates will face each other in a debate on CBS News, in New York City, at 10 PM (Brasilia time).

J.D. Vance is on the ticket alongside Republican Donald Trump. Tim Walz is the name chosen by Democrat Kamala Harris to run for the White House alongside her.

Unlike Brazil, vice presidential debates in the United States are common and usually have an impact on the election. Analysts confirm that this debate, in particular, may have greater value for voters, because it will be the first and last debate in a fierce electoral race.

The discussion lasts for 90 minutes, interspersed with two commercial periods of four minutes each. Candidates’ teams will not be able to interact with them during the debate.

There will be no audience, and unlike the debate between Trump and Kamala, the candidates’ microphones will remain on when their opponent speaks. However, CBS News may mute devices at any time.

War in the Middle East

The first question in the discussion was about the attack carried out by Iran on Tuesday (10/1) on Israel.
