The Ministry of National Education announced today that due to floods in the country Classes were suspended today in 540 institutions in the province. Lower Silesia, Opole, Silesia and Lubusz. As the Ministry of National Education points out, local governments can apply for government funds to rebuild school infrastructure, and affected families can receive support from the government programme, which includes money for children and young people affected by the floods. Financial support includes, among others: random subsidy.
Random subsidy. Help for whom?
This is a government program to help children and students in the form of emergency aid for educational purposes, to help students in the form of therapeutic and educational travel, and to help children and students in the form of therapeutic and educational care and activities in the years 2022-2024.
Assistance can be provided to families of children and students injured by a natural disaster that has prevented them from functioning normally in the school environment.
Financial support is provided to children attending kindergarten and students of all types of schools (on a daily basis). Support may be provided in the form of:
- random grant for educational purposes
- therapeutic and educational trip
- therapeutic and educational classes
Care and educational or therapeutic and educational classes are organized for children who have completed the compulsory one-year pre-school preparation; students who attend grades I to III of primary school or grades I to III of a general first-level music school; students who attend schools of all types, receive full-time education in these schools and have a certificate of special education needs.
Random allowance. How much does it cost?
The random allowance for a child or student is PLN 1,000. The maximum funding amount for the trip is PLN 1,540 per student. It is possible to combine both forms of support (up to a total of PLN 2,540).
Applications on a form established by a particular commune must be sent to the heads of communes, mayors or mayors of cities (where the child lives).
