My current 6.0. Who can benefit from financing?
Under Moje Prąd 6.0, financial support is available for prosumers, i.e. individuals or households who produce electricity for their own needs and feed the surplus into the grid. In order to receive financing, prosumers must meet certain conditions. The most important of these is the obligation to notify a micro-PV installation for grid connection after 1 August 2024 and to equip it with an energy storage device.
My current 6.0. Funding amount
The maximum funding under the program is PLN 28,000. PLN, and this amount is available to prosumers who simultaneously invest in a photovoltaic installation, energy storage and heat storage. The amount of funding depends on the type and power of the installed micro-installation and additional elements:
- PLN 7,000 for a micro-installation with a power of 2 to 20 kW;
- PLN 16,000 for electricity storage;
- PLN 5,000 for heat storage.
The amounts can be combined, which means that a prosumer who installs both photovoltaics and energy and heat storage can count on support of up to PLN 28,000. zlotys.
Technical requirements
Micro-installations must meet certain technical requirements to be eligible for the program. In the case of electricity storage installations, their capacity must be at least 1.5 kWh for every 1 kW of peak PV power. In addition, all PV installations must be connected to the electricity grid.
Financing conditions
For installations submitted for connection by 31 July 2024, co-financing does not require an energy or heat storage installation. In this case, prosumers can obtain PLN 6,000. PLN for a micro-installation with a power of 2 to 10 kW. However, for installations reported after 1 August 2024, it becomes mandatory to have an energy or heat storage installation in order to benefit from higher subsidy rates.
Financing will only be granted to prosumers who settle their accounts through the net-billing system or who document the transition to the new billing system if the micro-installation is settled through the net metering system.
Program Objective
The Moje Prąd 6.0 programme aims to increase the share of renewable energy sources in the Polish energy mix, as well as to promote more efficient energy management in households. The funding comes from the European Funds for Infrastructure, Climate and Environment (FEnIKS 2021-2027), and the eligibility period for expenditure covers activities starting from 1 January 2021.
Call for applications
The call for proposals will open on 2 September 2024 at 9:00 a.m. and will run until 20 December 2024 or until the programme budget is exhausted. Interested prosumers should submit their applications as soon as possible to benefit from the available funds.
