Ukraine has offered its help to Portugal in the context of the forest fires that are ravaging the country.
This was stated by Interior Ministry head Ihor Klymenko on the Telegram channel, according to European Truth.
Ihor Klymenko, on behalf of President Volodymyr Zelenskyi, met with the Ambassador of Portugal to Ukraine, Antonio Vashko Alvish Mashad.
As Klimenko recalled, Portugal is currently suffering from large-scale fires that have devastated the centre and north of the country. Heat and gusts of wind are making it difficult to extinguish the fire.
The head of the Interior Ministry offered the ambassador assistance from Ukrainian rescuers.

“The State Emergency Service has a specialised firefighting aircraft and specialists trained to work in such conditions,” he said.
