Ciudad Juárez—Two men suspected of being linked to the killings were detained Monday afternoon by city police, who turned them over to the State Investigation Agency, reported Adrián Sánchez Contreras, a spokesman for the Ministry of Public Security.
Officials said they responded to a call to the 911 emergency number, where they reported a dead person on Custodia de la República and 23 Provincias streets, in the Manuel J. Clouthier neighborhood.
The police arrived at the scene and interviewed several people, who said that two men who had been arguing with their neighbor who lived across the wall moments earlier were found dead, apparently due to the blows they had given him during the fight.
The spokesman indicated that both subjects were detained on suspicion of participating in the murder.
After being read their rights, Julio César GC, 48, and Julio César GU, 20, were brought before the Public Ministry.
