Edyta Lewandowska from February 2019 (she replaced Krzysztof Ziemiec) until December last year. She was one of the hosts of the main edition of “Wiadomości”. She has been associated with the public broadcaster since 1997. Initially she worked, among others, in the music program, in the Łódź branch of TVP and on TVP2.

Since autumn 2005, he has mainly hosted news programmes, including: parallel editions of “Wiadomości”, “Kurier” on TVP3 and news and band services on TVP Info. He disappeared from the latter station in 2013 and returned in January 2016, when at the beginning of Jacek Kurski’s presidency major changes took place in journalism and news.

Ewa Bugała and Karol Gnat also appear on Republika TV

On air on Telewizja Republika Ewa Bugała and Karol Gnat will also make their debut in the coming weeks. According to our agreements, Bugała will manage news and journalistic channels.

Both were previously associated with Telewizja Polska. In early 2016, Bugała was promoted from a researcher in the editorial office of “Wiadomości” to one of the main reporters covering national politics. In 2017, she moved to TVP Info, where she became the presenter and head of the daily program “Nie Impossible to Hide”, and also managed all the news broadcasts.

In early 2018, she served as Orlen’s communications director and press spokesperson for literally one day (she resigned after a wave of criticism) and then returned to TVP Info. She had a weekly program called “In full light”, and in 2020 she joined the group of presenters of the news series “Miwała 8”, “Miwała 9” and “Miwała 20”. As we reported, she said goodbye to the public broadcaster in the spring of this year.

Karol Gnat has been associated with Telewizja Polska since 2015. He started at TVP3 Kielce, in the spring of 2016 he became a news presenter at TVP Info, then he also hosted “O tym się się” on this channel and started “Panorama” on TVP2. He left TVP Info in the fall of 2021 and then began hosting his own program “Produced in Poland” on TVP3. In the years 2020-23 he also cooperated with Radio Three.


From last fall to this spring, he also hosted the show “Ruined Rebuilt” on TVP2. We recently announced that the series will no longer be continued.

More reporters in the US, “Zgoda” coming soon

According to our information, TV Republika wants to send more journalists to the USA. They are primarily responsible for reporting on the final phase of the presidential election campaign, as well as preparing materials on the Polish American community.

In addition, the broadcaster is finalizing the preparation of the documentary series “Zgoda” by Michał Rachoń and Sławomir Cenckiewicz. This is a continuation of the two-part series “Reset” aired on TVP in the second half of last year.

The premiere of “Zgoda” has been postponed several times. Our findings show that The series consists of several episodes and will air in September. The exact date will be announced in the coming days.

Danuta Holecka and Michał Rachoń are the first in a long line of journalists previously associated with “Wiadomości” and TVP Info who have moved to TV Republika. Earlier this year, the station’s team was joined by, among others: Miłosz Kłeczek, Jarosław Olechowski, Anna Popek, Rafał Patyra and Adrian Borecki. In mid-March, Adrian Klarenbach decided to make such a move (he hosts several news programs), in early April – Konrad Wąż as a reporter for “Dzisiaj”, and in May – Maria Twardzicka and Beata Sylwestrzak.

In recent months, Marcin Dobski (previously at Salon24), Aleksandra Prorok (previously a PiS councilor in the Wola district of Warsaw, an employee of the Prime Minister’s office and the state-owned company Enea), former “Wiadomości” reporter Marcin Szewczak and Dominika Ćosić, previously a correspondent for Polish television in Brussels, have also started working at TV Republika.

Telewizja Republika from the second half of December last year. reaches an audience dozens of times larger than before. According to data from Nielsen Audience Measurement, in May this year TV Republika’s average minute audience was 148,451 viewers and its audience share was 2.98%.
