Today I looked at Agriculture Minister Czesław Siekierski and he was in a bad mood, probably regretting his assessment of events a little – this is how Prime Minister Donald Tusk commented on the minister’s statement, who said that the Prime Minister should examine his conscience.
On the anniversary of the signing of the August Agreements, a government meeting was held in Gdańsk, during which Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced the government’s “general confession”. The head of government wants ministers to explain their mistakes and shortcomings. The Prime Minister will take ministers on national trips to meet with groups that – as he said – have cause for concern or have lost confidence in the government.
“The Prime Minister must also examine his conscience.
According to the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Czesław Siekierski (PSL), Prime Minister Tusk should also examine his conscience.
Like everyone else, the Prime Minister must also examine his conscience. There is too little discussion and dialogue in the Council of Ministers, the Prime Minister’s dominance is definitely too great.
– said the PSL politician in an interview with “SE”.
Tusk’s response
Prime Minister Donald Tusk was asked about these words at a press conference after Tuesday’s government meeting.
A government meeting is not a discussion club, we are there to make decisions after long weeks, sometimes months of work and discussions between ministries. Today I looked at Minister Siekierski and he was probably in a bad mood, probably regretting a little his assessment of the events
– said Tusk.
But this is my personal reflection
– Reserved prey.
The Prime Minister also stressed that he will participate in all announced meetings.
So naturally (…) some of the questions will certainly be addressed directly to me. So if anyone is going to be particularly active in this political confession, it is obviously me.
– he declared.
