Trump praises Zelensky’s strength
Last week, Zelensky met with the Republican presidential candidate again during his visit to the United States. During their joint press conference, Trump described the Ukrainian president as a “piece of steel” and praised his steadfastness.
According to the Kyiv Post, Trump’s comments appear aimed at convincing American voters of his diplomatic skills. He also noted that Zelensky believes Congress should not impeach Trump during his first impeachment trial. His tactics could help him rally support from pro-Ukrainian ranks in the United States.
Trump wants a ‘fair deal for everyone’
After the conversation with Zelensky, Trump again stated that he would be able to quickly resolve the Ukrainian conflict if re-elected. The former president said he wanted to reach a “fair agreement for everyone.”
