Sao Paulo – A towing vehicle known as a pushback caught fire this Monday morning (9/23) while moving a Boeing 787 from the North American carrier American Airlines at Guarulhos airport, in the metropolitan area of São Paulo.

The images were recorded by the Oscar Romeo Golf channel. According to the portal, the plane was being transported from the passenger terminal to a remote apron area and maintenance hangar. There were no passengers on board at the time.
In the notes for metropolitan cityThe concessionaire responsible for managing the airport, GRU Airport, stated that firefighters from the Airport Emergency Operations Center were called and brought the fire under control. After the incident, the aircraft was removed and the airport team cleared the runway to normalize operations.
Airport operations remain normal.
