The dramatic accident occurred on the route from Łomża to Suwalki near Ełk. Two people died, a child of several years and another adult is in the care of paramedics.

Nothing happened to the child, but he was taken to the hospital for observation. The other adults were injured.

The S61 road between Ełk and Nowa Wieś Ełcka is blocked. Olsztyn GDDKiA reports that traffic disruptions could last for about two hours.
