Supermercado Magia, in Lagoa da Conceição, in Florianópolis, announced that it will close its doors at the end of September. The announcement was made to customers through a post on social media.

The unit located on Rua Manoel Severino de Oliveira will remain open until September 30. The establishment will have to make way for another supermarket, from Rede Imperatriz. There is no date yet for the new opening.

The announcement caused an uproar among residents: “Many years of partnership,” wrote one resident. “He will be greatly missed here in Lagoa!”, said another.

Rede Imperatriz, which will replace Magia, already has 22 stores spread across Santa Catarina, in Florianópolis, São José, Palhoça, Santo Amaro da Imperatriz, Balneário Camboriú, Rio do Sul and Joinville.

In the capital, the new unit in Lagoa joins others in Centro, Trindade, Saco dos Limões, Córrego Grande, Estreito, Coqueiros and Floripa Shopping.
