He called it “violence” rather than comedy and revealed that many of his action scenes were inspired by the cartoon. During an interaction with Pinkvilla when Fardeen Khan mentioned Tom and Jerry of one of his favorite comedy acts, Akshay replied, “Tom and Jerry there is no comedy, it is violence. Today I will tell you a secret. So many action scenes I have done, many times I have taken it Tom and Jerry. I took it from the whole helicopter scene Tom and Jerry. Another idea I took was from National Geographic, but with Tom and Jerryit’s amazing to see the kind of activity they have.”
During the same interview, Akshay Kumar also talked about his upcoming projects. He said, “Jolly LLB 3 shooting is complete; However, we haven’t shot any songs yet. At home 5 starts next month. Welcome to Viidakko is 40 percent over. We haven’t started filming yet Hera Pheri 3I hope it will start soon… I am in talks for an action film, maybe it will start next year.”
Akshay Kumar also shared his thoughts on how franchise culture has taken over Indian cinema. “People want to see franchises, so I do them. Whatever people say, we must try to understand. But at the same time, I won’t give up making different kinds of films either. Sometimes even I want to give the audience what I feel they want. Whether I succeed or not is a different matter, but that wouldn’t stop me,” said Akshay Kumar.
Directed by Mudassar Aziz, Khel Khel Mein will be published on the 15th August. It is financed by T-Series Films, Wakaoo Films and White World Productions. The film will clash with Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor’s at the box office street 2, and John Abraham and Sharvari Wagh’s Vedas.
