After the storms and showers that have affected much of Poland in recent days, especially Warsaw, Wednesday’s weather will also bring heavy rain.

Weather forecast for Wednesday: Dangerous across Poland

The Institute of Meteorology and Water Management warns of possible storms today in almost the entire country. The most severe storms are expected in the southeastern regions of Poland. The highest warnings, of the third degree, have been issued for Podkarpacie and Lesser Poland. Thunderstorms are expected, which may be accompanied by heavy rainfall of up to 80 mm and strong gusts of wind of up to 90 km/h. There may also be hail.

IMWM warns of storms. These areas are the worst

Level three warnings for the southeastern part of Małopolska are in effect today from 11:00 to 22:00. However, for most of Podkarpacie from 15:00 to 2:00 The third and highest level of warnings means a threat of dangerous weather phenomena that cause very great damage and a threat to life. Extreme caution and monitoring of weather reports is recommended.

Second Degree IMWM Notices

Warnings of second-degree thunderstorms with rainfall have been issued for the rest of Podkarpacie in Lesser Poland, Lublin Voivodeship, most of Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship and parts of Masovia and Silesia. Dangerous weather events are expected from 12:00 to 20:00 in Lesser Poland, Świętokrzyskie, Masovia and Silesia Voivodeships and from 15:00 to 2:00 in Podkarpacie and Lublin Voivodeships.
