During a social gathering of three women, one of them poured biofuel onto an open flame hovering over the biofireplace. An explosion ensued and the women were taken to hospital with burns, police said on Sunday. The incident took place in Radzionków, Silesia.
A serious incident occurred on Saturday night on Skotnicka Street in Radzionków, Silesian Voivodeship, Tarnowskie Góry County.
Two women from Bytom, aged 24 and 51, and a 44-year-old woman from Tarnowskie Góry were taken to hospital after a biofireplace exploded in the latter’s home. Two were transported to a medical center by ambulance and one by an air ambulance helicopter.
Police reported Sunday that one of the women poured biofuel into a flame above the biofireplace, which resulted in an explosion.
