Aishwarya Rai Bachchan inspired dolls seem to be the latest internet obsession. The puppeteer recently shared a couple of pictures and a video of the puppet inspired by one of the looks the former Miss World wore at an event in Mumbai. She was dressed in a red Manish Malhotra creation for the occasion. The doll is dressed in a similar red outfit. The post has divided the Internet. While some of the internet was impressed with this tribute to the star, others were not so much. “Great resemblance,” wrote the user. Another wrote: “OMG But shouldn’t her eyes be blue?” A third comment read: “A doll must be beautiful to be named Aishwarya Rai.” Some even called it “scary.”

On the professional front, the actor bagged a big award at the South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA) held over the weekend in Dubai. She won the Best Actress (Critics) Award for her role in Mani Ratnam Ponniyin Selvan: II. SIIMA shared a video where the actor celebrates his big win. “Aishwarya Rai Bachchan celebrates her well-deserved victory. Her powerful performance continues to leave an unforgettable mark on cinema,” reads the post’s caption.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was crowned Miss World in 1994, and her iconic films include Devdas, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Iruvar, Guru, Guzaarish, Jodhaa Akbar, Taaal, Raincoat, Jeans, Bride and Prejudice and Mohabbatein among many others. He has also regularly participated in several international events, such as Paris Fashion Week and the Cannes Film Festival. A couple of movies he has acted in including Devdas, Sarbjit and Bride And Prejudiceto name a few, have been promoted or premiered at the Cannes Film Festival.
