They celebrated the 109th anniversary of the birth of Germán Valdés “Tin Tan”

City of Juarez.- The 2024 Pachuco Festival celebrates the 109th anniversary of the birth of iconic artist Germán Valdés “Tin Tan”, an emblem of pachuco culture in Mexico, an event organized by the Juárez Municipal Institute of Culture (IPACULT).

With an emotional ceremony that included the inauguration of the mural and the new cinema “El Barco de la Ilusión”, located in the Germán Valdés “Tin Tan” Art Space.

The mural, by artist Francisco Alfredo Chávez Flores, was unveiled as part of a visual tribute to the legacy of Tin Tan, whose influence on Mexican popular culture continues to endure.

Music is one of the great protagonists of this festival, with performances by various collectives and musical groups, including Los Lagartos, El Son del Barrio, Capi Noriega and the Symphonic Band of Semilleros Creativos del Sistema Juárez.

Additionally, groups such as Pachucos Independientes, Pachucos 656, and Elegantes Ciudad Juárez also contribute to the colorful and energetic atmosphere of the event.

This cultural event reaffirms the local community’s pride in the figure of Germán Valdés “Tin Tan” and the richness of the Pachuco tradition that has left an indelible mark on the identity of Ciudad Juárez.
