As we reported on Wirtualnemedia.pl, a new premium service will appear on the Polish Internet later this year. Its creator is Grzegorz Nawacki, former editor-in-chief of “Puls Biznesu”, an economic journalist with 19 years of experience.
On Thursday, we learned the name and logo of the project. XYZ is an economic information platform, which, however, will not only focus on economics and business, but will also address topics that are currently outside the scope of interest of the Polish media. This is how the founder of the new outlet explains the roots of the name.
– XYZ is: unknowns in equations, coordinate axes, last letters of the alphabet and generation names. Our in-depth articles and analyses will help readers understand what happened and uncover the unknown. We will describe only what matters, thanks to which we will help to understand where the world is heading. And we will tell each story to the end. We believe in the power and value of diversity of perspectives and experiences across generations – explains Grzegorz Nawacki, Editor-in-Chief and Co-CEO of XYZ.
– While building a new media category on the Polish market, whose DNA is primarily distinguished by the quality of content, we also wanted to create a distinctive brand that would evoke positive emotions in the audience. We are convinced that we have achieved our goal and will present to the market a brand that will be synonymous with new quality in Polish media and business events – says Karolina Kowalska, co-CEO of XYZ, responsible for marketing, monetization and events.

The XYZ brand was co-created by the creative team: Paulina Olbryś-Trębicka and Jakub Kołakowski.
– XYZ Information Platform is a unique blend of two archetypes: the pioneering spirit of the Rebel and the noble courage of the Hero. XYZ does not agree with the status quo, questions it, seeks better solutions and then courageously shows the public what trustworthy journalism is. When creating the visual identity of XYZ information platform, we wanted to emphasize its core values: independence, quality, courage and entrepreneurship, so we decided to combine these two mentioned archetypes – says Paulina Olbryś-Trębicka, who is responsible for co-creating the visual identity of XYZ.
The XYZ brand uses three colors.
– We were inspired by the Polish landscape and nature. Baltic cobalt brings to mind sea waters and the noble hue of the mineral. It symbolizes values close to XYZ such as entrepreneurship, education and confidence. Warsaw orange is a dynamic and saturated shade of the Warsaw sky at sunset. It reflects the passion, courage and modernity of the brand. Early green is full of life, energy and freshness visible in the first buds and leaves of early spring. It embodies independence, freedom and development, which are so important to XYZ – explains Jakub Kołakowski.
The project is financed by the founder and external investors, with the leader being Rafał Brzoska, creator of InPost.
– It will be a medium free from clickbait and misinformation, we will not race for reach and views, as this leads to a waste of time for readers or listeners of our podcasts. Instead of hundreds of pieces of information per day, we will publish carefully selected information, and thanks to the way we describe it, readers will not only be informed about something, but will understand what and why it happened and what results from it. – announces Grzegorz Nawacki.
The medium will also stand out for its technological layer and monetization approach. Quality will also be the basis in relationships with business partners, announces Nawacki.
